Facebook and Instagram lead ads let your practice capture high-quality leads directly from social media. When you run a lead generation campaign through Ad Manager, prospective patients fill out a native instant form and their information flows straight into Aesthetix CRM, where your workflows can follow up automatically.
This guide walks you through connecting your Facebook and Instagram channels and publishing your first lead generation campaign.
To run lead ads, you need:
A Facebook Business Page you are an admin of, with the ad account and page in the same Business Manager.
Lead Access permission on that page (required by Facebook to receive lead data).
Admin or Employee access in Business Manager for the person connecting the page.
If you plan to run Instagram ads, make sure your Instagram account is connected to the Facebook Page. For connection requirements and fixes, see the Facebook Lead Ad Troubleshooting & Field Mapping guide.
Navigate to Marketing > Ad Manager.
Click Activate Ads Manager.
Click Connect Facebook.
Select the Facebook Page you want to run ads from.
When you connect, you will see a consent screen from LeadConnector, our underlying ad provider. This screen is expected and safe; it is what authorizes the connection between Facebook and Aesthetix CRM.
Click Get Started.
Click Create Campaign.
Fill in the campaign details (Step 1):
Select Lead Generation as the objective.
Create a lead form by clicking Create Facebook Form.
Fill in the form details (form type, greeting, questions, field mapping, privacy policy, and so on).
Click Create Form.
Fill in the remaining ad details (primary text, headline, media, call to action).
Click Next.
Fill in the budget and audience details (Step 2):
Set your budget.
Set your audience (location, age, gender, interests).
Click Next.
Review (Step 3), then click Publish > Publish Ad Now.
For a med spa, a typical first campaign is a Lead Generation ad for a consultation or a seasonal treatment promotion, with the audience targeted to your service area and the form asking for name, email, phone, and treatment of interest.
If you saved an ad as a draft, you can publish it later:
Navigate to Marketing > Ad Manager.
Click the three-dot action menu to the right of the ad.
Click Edit.
On Step 3, Review and Publish, click Publish.
Facebook reviews new ads before they go live, which can take some time. Once approved and running, every form submission syncs into Aesthetix CRM as a contact. To make sure each lead gets immediate follow-up, connect the form to a Lead Capture workflow using the Facebook Lead Form Submitted trigger. See the Facebook Lead Ads & Lead Capture Workflows guide.
If you run ads across more than one Facebook Page, you can connect multiple pages; page selection and multi-page setup are covered in Ad Manager and the Facebook Lead Ad Troubleshooting & Field Mapping guide.
Workflows: The Facebook Lead Form Submitted trigger and your follow-up actions live in the Workflows collection.
Integrations: Connecting your Facebook account and page is part of the Integrations setup.
Social Media Planner: Organic (unpaid) Facebook and Instagram posting is handled in the Social Media Planner, separate from paid lead ads.
Do I need a landing page to run lead ads?
No. Facebook and Instagram lead ads use a native instant form, so leads are captured without a separate landing page.
Why is my ad not live right away after publishing?
Facebook reviews new ads before they run. Approval can take some time, after which your ad goes live and starts collecting leads.
Do I have to be a page admin?
Yes. Facebook requires you to be an admin of the Facebook Page with Lead Access permission to receive lead data in Aesthetix CRM.
What is the LeadConnector screen I see when connecting Facebook?
That is the consent screen from our underlying ad provider. It is expected and safe, and it authorizes the connection between Facebook and Aesthetix CRM.
How do I make sure leads get followed up automatically?
Connect your lead form to a Lead Capture workflow using the Facebook Lead Form Submitted trigger. See the Facebook Lead Ads & Lead Capture Workflows guide.
Can I run ads on both Facebook and Instagram?
Yes. Make sure your Instagram account is connected to the Facebook Page, then choose your placements when building the campaign.
Can I run lead ads for multiple Facebook Pages?
Yes. You can connect multiple pages and select the page per campaign. See the troubleshooting and field mapping guide for multi-page setup.
Where do I edit a draft ad before publishing?
Go to Marketing > Ad Manager, click the three-dot menu next to the ad, click Edit, then publish from Step 3.
