Call Tracking and Missed Call Text Back Through Google My Business

This article will guide you about call tracking and missed call text back through GMB

With Google My Business (GMB), businesses can now register two phone numbers, presenting a valuable opportunity for Agencies to monitor calls originating from GMB listings without any SEO drawbacks. It has been observed that moving the business's actual phone number to the secondary slot does not have a negative impact on rankings.

Excitingly, the integration between our CRM and Google My Business allows you to effortlessly transfer your client's primary business number to the secondary slot while adding their Twilio number to the first slot. This streamlined process ensures smooth communication for your clients and simplifies call tracking for your agency.

  • Enabling GMB Call Tracking triggers the following actions:

    1. If the phone number registered in GMB is already a Twilio number from the sub-account, there will be no changes made as the business's calls are already being tracked seamlessly within CRM.

    2. If the phone number registered in GMB is also used as the forwarding number for any of the Twilio numbers in the sub-account, CRM will automatically move the current number to the secondary slot and assign the Twilio number to the primary slot.

    3. If the phone number registered in GMB is not currently set as the forwarding number for any of the Twilio numbers in the corresponding sub-account, CRM will relocate the current number to the secondary slot, place the Twilio number in the primary slot, and designate the current number as the forwarding number for the Twilio number in the sub-account.

These actions ensure that call tracking remains efficient and accurate, providing a streamlined experience for businesses utilizing GMB and our system.
