Email snippets are compact, pre-written email segments you save once and reuse whenever you need a quick, consistent reply. Instead of retyping the same message for common scenarios, you can build a library of ready-to-go snippets and drop them into your emails in seconds. This keeps your communication uniform, saves time on repetitive replies, and makes it easy to respond to customer inquiries, follow up on leads, or send routine messages without starting from scratch.
An email snippet is a saved reply block, not a full designed email. If you need a polished, drag-and-drop email with layouts, images, and branded design, build a template in the Email Builder instead. See the Email Marketing documentation for the drag-and-drop email template builder. Use snippets when you want a fast, reusable block of text and merge fields you can insert into a message.
You can create and manage email snippets from two places in Aesthetix CRM: the Marketing area and your Inbox. Both take you to the same Templates (Snippets) tools, so use whichever is more convenient for your workflow.
Step 1: Open the Templates (Snippets) area. From the Marketing section, select Templates (Snippets). Alternatively, navigate to your Inbox and open the Templates (Snippets) option there.
Step 2: Start a new template. Click Add Template (Snippet) to begin creating a new snippet.
Step 3: Choose the email snippet type. Select Add Email Template (Snippet) from the available options so you're building an email snippet rather than an SMS snippet.
Once you've chosen to add an email snippet, fill in the details that make up the reusable block. Everything you set here is saved so you can insert the snippet later with a single click.
Step 4: Name your snippet. Enter a clear name for your template in the name field. A descriptive name makes it easy to find the right snippet when you're composing an email.
Step 5: Add a subject. Fill in the subject line for your template so your snippet includes a ready-made subject when inserted.
Step 6: Insert custom values. Select the custom values you want to include. Custom values pull in account or contact-specific information so your snippet personalizes itself when sent.
Step 7: Add trigger links. Choose any relevant trigger links to include in your snippet. Trigger links let you track clicks and fire automations based on recipient activity.
Step 8: Compose the body. Type your template body in the rich-text editor. This is where you write the message and use the available formatting tools to personalize and structure your snippet exactly how you want it to appear.
Step 9: Attach a file if needed. If your snippet should include an attachment, add a file. This step is optional, so include one only when the message calls for it.
Step 10: Save your snippet. Click Save when you're done. Your email snippet is now stored and ready to insert into future emails.
Before you rely on a new snippet, send a test email to confirm it looks and behaves the way you expect.
Step 11: Enter the From address. Fill in the From address field so the test is sent from the correct sender.
Step 12: Enter the To address. Complete the To Address field with the address where you want to receive the test message.
Step 13: Send the test. Click Send to deliver a test email, then review it to make sure the subject, body, custom values, and any attachments appear correctly.
What is the difference between an email snippet and an email template built in the Email Builder?
An email snippet is a saved reply block: a name, subject, and rich-text body with merge fields or custom values that you insert into an email for a quick, consistent response. A full email template is a designed message built with the drag-and-drop Email Builder, with layouts, images, and branded styling. Use snippets for fast reusable text; use the Email Builder for polished, designed emails. See the Email Marketing documentation for the drag-and-drop builder.
Where do I find email snippets after I create them?
Your saved snippets live in the Templates (Snippets) area, which you can reach from both the Marketing section and your Inbox. From either location you can create, edit, and insert your email snippets.
Can I personalize a snippet for each recipient?
Yes. Add custom values to your snippet so it pulls in account or contact-specific information automatically when the snippet is inserted or sent. You can also include trigger links to track engagement.
Can I include an attachment in an email snippet?
Yes. When building your snippet you can attach a file so it's included whenever the snippet is used. Attachments are optional.
How do I make sure my snippet works before using it?
Send a test email. Enter a From address and a To address, click Send, and review the delivered message to confirm the subject, body, custom values, and any attachments display correctly.
