The Inbox lets you text your contacts directly from Aesthetix CRM, so every conversation stays in one place. Whether you're sending an appointment reminder, following up on a consultation, or sharing a promotional offer, this guide walks you through composing and sending an SMS from a conversation, adding attachments, personalizing your message, and scheduling delivery. Aesthetix CRM uses native Twilio to power SMS, so messages send from your dedicated business number.
Step 1: Navigate to your Inbox. Open the Inbox to see all of your active conversations.
Step 2: Find and select the contact's message. Choose the conversation with the contact you want to text. The full message history opens on the right so you have context before you reply.
Step 3: Choose the SMS option. Above the compose box, select the SMS channel so your message is sent as a text. Your SMS is sent from your dedicated business number.
Step 4: Construct your SMS in the text box. Type your message in the compose field. Keep an eye on the character count and segment indicator: longer messages are split into multiple segments, and each segment counts toward your usage.
Step 5: Consider adding attachments if needed. Attach an image or file to send it as an MMS. This is useful for sharing before-and-after photos, flyers, or other visuals alongside your text.
Step 6: Spruce up your message with some emojis. Add emojis to give your message a friendly, personal tone.
Step 7: Ready-made templates are available, select if required. Insert a saved snippet to reuse pre-written text instead of typing a message from scratch. Snippets are created and managed in the Message Templates collection.
Step 8: Choose your preferred template. Pick the snippet you want, and its content is dropped into the compose box ready to send or edit.
Step 9: You can also add SMS payment requests. Include a payment request in your text so the contact can pay directly from the message.
Step 10: Provide all necessary payment request details. Enter the amount and any other required information so the payment request is complete before you send.
Step 11: Customize your SMS for a personal touch. Personalize your message so it speaks directly to the contact.
Step 12: Look through trigger links below. Trigger links let you track clicks and fire automations when a contact taps the link. Trigger links are documented in the Marketing collection.
Step 13: Select the 'Trigger Links' option. Choose Trigger Links to insert a link you've already set up into your message.
Step 14: Clear the text field if you want to start fresh. Clear the compose box to remove your draft and start over.
Step 15: Once finished, click on the 'Send' button. When your message is ready, select Send to deliver it right away.
Step 16: Plan ahead by scheduling your SMS delivery time. Instead of sending immediately, schedule the SMS to go out at a specific date and time.
What number do my texts send from?
SMS messages send from your dedicated business number. Aesthetix CRM uses native Twilio to power SMS.
How long can an SMS be, and what are segments?
There's no hard limit on message length, but longer messages are broken into multiple segments. Each segment counts toward your usage, so the compose box shows a character count and segment indicator to help you keep messages efficient.
How do I send a picture or file?
Attach an image or file to your message to send it as an MMS. This lets you share photos and documents alongside your text.
Can I reuse text I send often?
Yes. Insert a snippet to drop in pre-written content instead of retyping it. Snippets are set up and managed in the Message Templates collection.
How do trigger links work?
Trigger links let you track when a contact clicks and can kick off automations. You create and manage them in the Marketing collection, then insert them into an SMS from the Trigger Links option in the compose box.
Can I schedule a text for later?
Yes. Instead of sending right away, schedule the SMS to be delivered at the date and time you choose.
