Below is a video walking through the process for sending Google Ads conversions back to Google via workflows.
This guide walks you through setting up a workflow that sends conversion data to Google Ads when an opportunity status changes to "Won" in Aesthetix CRM. This helps track patient conversions from Google Ads effectively.
Step 1: Create a New Workflow
Go to Workflows in Aesthetix CRM.
Click Create Workflow and select Start from Scratch.
Name the workflow:
"Op Status Won - Send to Google"
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the Trigger
Click Add Trigger.
Search for "Opportunity" and select "Opportunity Status Changed".
Add a Filter:
Field: "Move to Status"
Select: Won (1)
Click Save.
This trigger fires when an opportunity moves into the "Won" status for the first time.
Step 3: Ensure the Contact Came from Google Ads
Important:
Not all Won opportunities should be sent to Google Ads—only those that originated from Google Ads.
Click + Add If/Else Condition.
Select Condition:
Go to Contact Details.
Search for "Session Source".
Choose "First Attribution is Paid Search".
Click Add Another Condition (OR Statement):
Select "Last Attribution is Paid Search".
This ensures only contacts from Google Ads proceed in the workflow.
Step 4: Send the Conversion to Google Ads
Under the Google Ads Path, click + Add Action.
Select "Send to Google AdWords Conversion".
Choose the Google Ads Conversion:
Select "Won Opportunity" or "Won Patient" (or another relevant conversion event).
Click Save Action.
Step 5: Publish & Activate
Click Publish.
Click Save.
Monitor the workflow to ensure it’s sending conversion data correctly.
Final Notes
This setup automatically tracks conversions for patients who originally came from Google Ads.
Prevents API errors by filtering out non-Google leads.
Helps optimize Google Ads campaigns with accurate conversion data.
By following this process, you'll effectively send Won opportunity data back to Google Ads, improving your ad targeting and ROI tracking.
