If you offer a members-only portal (for example, a skincare loyalty program, a post-treatment support area, or a paid course for patients), you can add your Aesthetix CRM chat widget directly to that membership section. This gives logged-in members a quick way to reach your front desk or care team without leaving the portal.
Adding the widget is a two-part process: first you grab the widget's embed code from the Marketing menu, then you paste that code into your membership site's settings.
From the left-hand menu, click Marketing.
Click Chat Widget.
Click Get Code.
Click Copy Code to copy the embed snippet to your clipboard.
Click Marketing.
Click Memberships.
Click Settings.
Click Site Details.
Navigate to Site Info.
Click Advanced to expand the Advanced section.
Paste the copied code into the custom code field. This field accepts custom JS, CSS, or tracking code, so your chat widget snippet drops in alongside anything else you already have there.
Save your changes, then open your membership area as a logged-in member to confirm the chat widget appears and opens correctly.
This guide only covers placing the widget on your membership site. To change how the widget looks, who it routes to, or how it behaves (business hours, welcome messages, routing to AI or a live team member), head to your Chat Widget settings under Marketing. Any changes you make there apply automatically everywhere the widget is embedded, including your membership area.
Does adding the chat widget to my membership area affect the widget on my main website? No. The widget is one configuration shared across every location you embed it. Adding it to your membership site does not remove or change it on your main website; it simply adds another place for members to reach you.
Can members chat with my practice only after they log in? Yes, if you place the embed code inside your membership site's settings as described above, the widget only appears within the members-only area, so only logged-in members will see it there.
What if I don't see an "Advanced" section under Site Info? Make sure you're editing the membership site (not a regular funnel or website) and that you've clicked into Site Details first. The Advanced dropdown is nested under Site Info and needs to be expanded before the custom code field appears.
Can I add other tracking codes in the same field? Yes. The Advanced custom code field accepts any custom JS, CSS, or tracking code, so you can paste your chat widget snippet alongside pixels or analytics scripts you already use.
Will the chat widget slow down my membership site? No noticeable impact. The widget loads asynchronously, so it won't block your membership content from loading.
I copied the code but nothing shows up on my membership site. What should I check first? Confirm you saved the Site Details settings after pasting the code, then do a hard refresh (or open an incognito window) since cached membership pages can hide the update briefly.
Can I customize the widget differently for members versus website visitors? Not currently. The chat widget uses one shared configuration, so its appearance, hours, and routing apply the same way wherever it's embedded, including your membership area.
Do I need to repeat this setup for every membership product I create? No. Once the code is added under your membership site's Site Details, it applies across that membership site as a whole rather than needing to be re-added per product or course.
