Courses in Aesthetix CRM let you control exactly when a member's access to an offer begins and when it ends. Instead of granting permanent access the moment someone signs up, you can restrict an offer to a set number of days, hold access until a specific launch date, or combine both. These settings live on the offer details page, in the "Offer Access" section, alongside the rest of your offer's pricing and access rules.
Use this when you want members to lose access automatically after a set period, for example a 30-day trial program, a 6-month treatment plan course, or a 1-week onboarding series.
Open the offer you want to modify, or create a new offer.
On the offer details page, find the Offer Access section and check Restrict access to a specific amount of days.
Enter the number of days the offer should remain accessible, counting from the member's sign-up date. For example, enter 180 for roughly 6 months (based on a 30-day month), 60 for 2 months, 7 for 1 week, or 1 for a single day.
Review the duration, then save your changes and publish the offer.
Once the duration expires, Aesthetix CRM automatically revokes the member's access to the course content. You don't need to remove them manually.
Use this when you want to sell or open registration ahead of time but hold the actual content until a launch date, which works well for pre-sales, staged product launches, or courses tied to a class start date.
Open the offer you want to modify, or create a new offer.
In the Offer Access section, check Begin access at a specific date.
Enter the date access should begin.
Save your changes and publish the offer.
If a member signs up before the start date, they can still view the course's overview page, but they won't be able to open lessons or any other content until the start date arrives.
You can use either setting on its own, or both together on the same offer. For example, you could hold access until a program's official kickoff date and then automatically close access 90 days later. Set both checkboxes in the Offer Access section and enter the values for each; Aesthetix CRM applies them together, holding content until the start date and then counting the access duration from that point.
If a member already has active access and buys another offer for the same course, Aesthetix CRM automatically combines the new offer's validity period with their existing access so there's no gap in service.
If a member upgrades or switches to a different offer for the same course, their access follows the new offer's duration terms. The new offer's validity takes precedence, so members always end up with the most favorable access window rather than losing time they already paid for.
Editing an offer's duration, start date, or other access settings after members have already enrolled does not automatically change access for people who joined under the original terms. When you update an offer, review the Offer Access section again before saving to confirm whether the new duration or start date should also apply to current members, or only to new sign-ups going forward. If you need existing members to move onto new pricing or access rules entirely, set up a new offer and enroll them into it directly rather than relying on edits to the original offer to reach people who already have access.
For automated actions tied to access changes, such as tagging a member or triggering a follow-up campaign when access expires, build that logic in Workflows using course and membership triggers rather than inside the offer settings themselves.
Can I change an offer's duration after members have already signed up? Yes, you can edit the Offer Access settings at any time. Keep in mind that changes to duration or start date apply going forward and may not retroactively affect members who already have active access under the original terms.
What happens to a member's access once the expiry duration is reached? Access to the course content is automatically revoked once the set number of days has passed since sign-up. No manual removal is needed.
Can members see the course at all before a start date arrives? Yes. If you set a start date and a member signs up beforehand, they'll see the course overview page but won't be able to open lessons or other content until the start date is reached.
Do I have to choose between a start date and an expiry duration? No. You can use either one on its own, or set both on the same offer so access opens on a specific date and then closes automatically after a set number of days.
If a member buys a second offer for the same course, does their access reset? No. Aesthetix CRM combines the new offer's validity period with their existing access so their access continues without interruption.
What happens if a member upgrades to a different offer for the same course? Their access follows the new offer's duration terms, and the system applies whichever terms give the member the most access.
Is the day count based on calendar days or business days? It's based on calendar days, counted continuously from the member's sign-up date (or from the start date, if one is set).
How do I make sure my duration and start date settings are live? After entering your settings in the Offer Access section, save your changes and then publish the offer. Unpublished changes won't apply to members.
Where do I set up automation for when a member's access expires? Use Workflows to build automated actions, such as tagging, notifications, or follow-up campaigns, based on course and membership triggers. Offer Access settings only control the access window itself.
