This guide covers two parts of keeping your texting program compliant in Aesthetix CRM: how SMS compliance works (it's handled through your message content, not an automatic setting) and Authorizing Representatives — the people your practice designates in your Business Profile to authorize messaging registration.
For the legal and regulatory background — TCPA, consent collection, and messaging policy — see the Compliance collection.
Aesthetix CRM sends text messages through its native Twilio integration. The automatic SMS-compliance toggles found on some platforms — settings that auto-append an opt-out line and sender identification to every message — are not available with the Twilio integration. Instead, you keep your texting compliant through your message content.
What this means for you:
Include opt-out language in your messages. Add a clear opt-out instruction such as "Reply STOP to unsubscribe." to your SMS templates and the SMS actions in your workflows — especially the first message in a sequence.
Identify yourself. Include your business name so recipients know who is texting them — for example, "— Main Street Med Spa."
Carrier-level opt-out keywords still work automatically. When a contact replies STOP, STOPALL, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, or QUIT, the carrier opts them out and Aesthetix CRM marks them Do Not Disturb — no setup required.
Build it in once. Because compliance lives in your content, add the opt-out and sender language to your reusable SMS templates and nurture workflows so every message stays compliant by default. Your Aesthetix onboarding team typically sets this up with you.
An Authorizing Representative is a person your practice designates in the Business Profile to authorize messaging registration on behalf of your business. Adding accurate representative details helps ensure your registration information is complete and that the right people are on record for your account.
Step 1: Open Settings. Click Settings.
Step 2: Open Business Profile. Click Business Profile.
Step 3: Go to Authorized Representative. Navigate to the Authorized Representative section.
Step 4: Enter the first name. Enter the representative's first name.
Step 5: Enter the last name. Input the representative's last name.
Step 6: Enter the email address. Provide the representative's email address.
Step 7: Select a job position. Select a job position from the list.
Step 8: Enter the phone number. Add the phone number, including the country code.
Step 9: Save your changes. Click Update Information to save all the changes.
How do I keep my SMS messages compliant?
Include a clear opt-out instruction (such as "Reply STOP to unsubscribe.") and your business name in your SMS templates and workflow messages. Because the automatic compliance toggles aren't available with the Twilio integration, compliance lives in your message content. Your onboarding team can help you build this into your templates and workflows.
What words can a contact text to opt out?
STOP, STOPALL, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, or QUIT. The carrier honors these automatically and Aesthetix CRM marks the contact as Do Not Disturb.
Who should be listed as an Authorizing Representative?
List a person at your practice who is authorized to approve messaging registration on the business's behalf, such as an owner, administrator, or designated team member. Make sure their name, email, and phone number are accurate and current.
