You need to update your settings if:
You have a Stripe account connected to Aesthetix and accept ACH Direct Debit, or
You plan to accept US bank account payments in the future.
This also applies if:
A sub-account or client connected to Aesthetix uses Stripe and accepts ACH Direct Debit payments.
You must configure how Stripe classifies your ACH bank payment transactions.
Stripe provides three classification options:
Stripe automatically determines whether a transaction represents a purchase of goods based on available signals such as:
Merchant information
Transaction details
This option works for most businesses and does not require code changes.
Choose this option if your business exclusively sells physical or digital products.
All ACH transactions will be classified as purchases of goods.
Choose this option if your business primarily:
Provides services
Accepts donations
Collects bill payments
This ensures transactions are not categorized as purchases of goods.
Follow these steps to update your settings:
Open your Stripe Dashboard
Navigate to Settings
Go to Payments
Locate the Link section
Find the Nacha Compliance section
Select one of the three transaction classification options
Click Save
No. These settings must be updated directly in your Stripe Dashboard.
Aesthetix does not manage or modify Stripe account settings.
Use a business name that customers will easily recognize.
This name appears on customer bank statements for ACH Direct Debit transactions, so it should clearly identify your business to reduce confusion and disputes.
