Sort and filter tools help shoppers find what they're looking for on your online store's product list page, whether they're browsing your full retail catalog or a curated collection of skincare and wellness products. These controls, along with manual product ordering and per-store product visibility, are managed from Sites > Stores, inside the Page Builder for your storefront and the Products tab for each store.
Open your store in the Page Builder and navigate to the Product List element on your Product Details or Product List page.

Enable the "Sorting and Filtering" toggle to add Sort and Filter controls above the product grid, making it easier for shoppers to navigate a large catalog.

Configure the sorting and filtering properties, including the text color for the Sort and Filter labels and the pill color for the Sort and Filter buttons.

Apply a filter to your products, such as price, to confirm the controls work as expected before publishing.

Sort and Filter controls are only available on the Product List page, not on the search results page. By default, the Product List page shows all products with no filters applied, and the default sort order is Date (Old to New) unless you change it.
Shoppers on phones and tablets need quick ways to narrow a large catalog on a small screen. The Product List page includes touch-optimized Sort and Filter controls, a running product count, and builder-side styling so the experience matches your brand.
A Sort button appears in the top bar of the Product List page on mobile. Tapping it opens a bottom-sheet with the available sort options:
Date (Old to New, New to Old)
Alphabetical (A to Z, Z to A)
Price (Low to High, High to Low)
Shoppers can dismiss the sort sheet by tapping outside it or swiping down. Set a Default Sorting option in the widget settings to control how products are ordered on first load.
Product titles on the Product List page follow the existing truncation behavior (ellipses) on mobile. Full-title wrapping applies to most other store pages, but not the Product List page.

Filters help shoppers narrow the list to items that actually interest them. On mobile, Filters open in a full-screen modal with a sticky footer for easy access to the action buttons.
Available filter types:
Availability: In stock / Out of stock
Price Range: From and To numeric inputs
Tapping Apply instantly updates the results, and Clear Filters resets all selections. The Filters button shows a badge with the number of active filters.

Availability defaults to both options selected, so shoppers see the full catalog until they choose to narrow it, and price validation follows your store's settings. If you've customized availability rules for a product, only eligible products will surface in the results.
A running product count appears at the top of the Product List page and updates dynamically as shoppers apply or clear filters, giving them context while they browse.

You can preview the exact mobile interactions in the mobile device frame inside the Page Builder, and style the controls from the widget panel, including:
Sort/Filter bar background color
Text color for the Sort and Filter buttons
Apply and Clear Filters button styles
Navigate to the Product List page and select the Product List element. You'll see two toggles, one for Sorting and one for Filtering. Enable both to add the Sort and Filter controls to your Product List page. If your catalog is large, you can also reduce pagination by increasing how many products display per page in the same widget settings.

Configure the properties for Sort and Filter, including:
Sort and filter text color
Sort and filter pill color
Reset button color

Once enabled, shoppers will see the Sort and Filter controls above the product grid on the Product List page.

Apply a filter to confirm your setup, such as filtering by price.

Click Save or Publish to push the changes live on your site. The Sort control will show your chosen default order, such as Featured or Date, when shoppers first land on the page.

Manual Product Sorting lets you set a custom display order for products on the Product List page instead of relying only on date, price, or alphabetical sort. Assign a display priority to each product so bestsellers, new arrivals, or promotional items are seen first, giving you more control over merchandising and how your storefront presents to patients and shoppers browsing your products.
Key benefits:
Highlight key products: Feature high-priority or seasonal items at the top of the list.
Custom merchandising: Arrange products to match a current promotion or inventory goal.
Flexible tie-breaking: Products that share the same priority are automatically sorted alphabetically (A-Z) as a secondary sort.
Easy to adjust: Update the order any time with a simple number change, and see the results instantly.
Default for new stores: The "Featured" sorting option is the default for every new store.
Error prevention: Only whole numbers are accepted in the Display Priority field, which cuts down on mistakes.
Go to Sites > Stores and open the store you want to edit, or create a new one.
Inside the store editor, open the Products tab to see every product associated with that store.
Locate the Display Priority column next to each product. For every product you want to prioritize, enter a whole number:
Lower numbers appear higher on the Product List page.
1 is the highest priority; 2, 3, and so on follow in descending order.
Click Save Changes to apply the new order.
Only whole numbers are supported for Display Priority. Decimal values (0.1, 1.5) or letters will trigger a validation error and won't be accepted.
Open the Pages tab and click the Preview Link on your Product List page to confirm your products are arranged the way you intended, with lower-numbered products appearing first.
Back in the Page Builder, click Edit (or Edit in a New Tab) on the Product List page, select the Product List element, and set Featured as the Default Sorting Option under Sort & Filter. Click Save to update the live sort order.
In the same Product List element settings, you can increase products per page under Layout (up to 100) to reduce excessive pagination for a large catalog.
Keep in mind:
Products that share the same display priority are sorted alphabetically as a tiebreaker.
Out-of-stock products are automatically pushed to the end of the Product List page, regardless of their assigned priority.
Manual sorting only affects the Product List page. It has no effect on search results.
Existing stores keep their current sorting settings until you manually switch the Default Sorting Option to Featured.
You can change the sorting method at any time from the builder's Sort & Filter settings.
On mobile, shoppers can still override your curated Featured order using the Sort bottom sheet (for example, Price: Low to High). If you want your merchandised order to be what shoppers see first, keep the Default Sorting Option set to Featured so the Product List page loads your intended order before a shopper changes it.
If your practice runs more than one store, for example a retail storefront and a members-only store, you can control which products are visible in each one without duplicating your catalog.
Every product has an Include in Online Store toggle:
Enabled: The product is available for inclusion or exclusion in the Products section of every store on your account.
Disabled: The product will not appear in the Stores > Products section of any store, and can't be added to one.

When you create a new store, every product with "Include in Online Store" enabled is listed in it automatically, and any new product you create with the toggle enabled is added to all your stores by default.
Go to Stores, select the store you want to manage, and open the Products section.

Use the Include in Online Store toggle on each product to control whether it's available for this store.

To update several products at once, select multiple products and apply a bulk inclusion or exclusion action. A bulk action only changes products that don't already match the selected state, so it won't disturb products you've already configured.

Use the search and filter tools to manage a large catalog faster. Search by product name, or filter by Collection to quickly find the items you need.

Changes save automatically, with no extra confirmation step needed.
A few things to keep in mind: products with "Include in Online Store" disabled are never available for store selection, and a newly created store only inherits products that already have the toggle enabled. You can still edit a product's full details directly from the Products section of any store it's included in.
For product catalog setup, pricing, taxes, and coupons, see the Payments documentation. To connect an external platform like Shopify or WooCommerce, see Integrations.
Where do I enable sorting and filtering on my storefront? Open the store in the Page Builder, select the Product List element, and enable both the Sorting and Filtering toggles in the widget settings.
Can shoppers change the sort order themselves? Yes. On mobile, tapping Sort opens a bottom-sheet with Date, Alphabetical, and Price options, each with two directions. On desktop, the Sort control appears above the product grid.
What filters are available to shoppers? Availability (In stock / Out of stock) and Price Range (From/To numeric inputs). On mobile, the Filters modal opens full-screen with a sticky Apply and Clear Filters footer.
Is Availability selected by default? Yes, both In stock and Out of stock are selected by default so shoppers see the full catalog until they choose to narrow it. If you've customized availability rules for specific products, only eligible products will surface.
Does the Product List page show how many products match? Yes. A running product count appears at the top of the page and updates automatically as filters are applied or cleared.
What happens if two products have the same Display Priority? They're sorted alphabetically (A-Z) as a tiebreaker, so your order stays consistent and predictable.
Can I use decimals or letters in the Display Priority field? No. Only whole numbers are accepted. Decimal values and letters trigger a validation error.
Does manual sorting affect search results? No. Manual Product Sorting only changes the order of products on the Product List page. It has no effect on search results.
What happens to an out-of-stock product with a high display priority? It's automatically moved to the end of the Product List page regardless of its assigned priority, so shoppers aren't led to items they can't buy.
Why isn't a product showing up in one of my stores? Check two things: first, that the product's "Include in Online Store" toggle is enabled, and second, that the product hasn't been manually excluded from that specific store in its Products section.
